Getting Started

What is Spinaker?

Spinaker is a LinkedIn Ads operations console that helps agencies and professional advertisers get more done, faster, without adding headcount.

Who is Spinaker for?

Spinaker is built for LinkedIn Ads power users: agencies managing multiple client accounts, and in-house marketing teams running LinkedIn at scale. If you feel like Campaign Manager is holding you back from working the way you'd like, at your own speed, Spinaker might be just what you're looking for.

What are the core features?

Spinaker brings the bulk editing, team coordination, and change tracking that serious LinkedIn advertisers need:

  • Targeting presets with governance. Define targeting once, apply it across any ad set, and get flagged the moment something drifts from the preset.
  • Bulk editing. Update campaigns, ad sets, and ads in a single action instead of clicking through them one at a time.
  • Staging and publish. Review every change as a diff before it goes live. Nothing publishes by accident.
  • Multi-account switching. Switch between every connected ad account instantly, without re-authenticating or losing your session.
  • Team workspace. Multiple people can work simultaneously: every staged change is immediately visible to the whole team, attributed to whoever created it.
  • Full audit trail. Every change is attributed, timestamped, and traceable.

We ship new capability continuously, shaped by direct feedback from our users and insights from conversations with some of the most experienced LinkedIn Ads professionals in the industry.

How do I connect my LinkedIn Ads account?

You connect your LinkedIn Ads account through LinkedIn's official OAuth flow: no passwords shared, no manual API keys. During setup, you grant Spinaker read and write access to the ad accounts you choose, and you can revoke that access at any time from your LinkedIn account's application settings. The whole process takes about two minutes.

If you want to explore Spinaker before connecting a real ad account, the demo environment uses realistic seeded data so you can see how everything works first.

How long does setup take?

Most teams are fully set up in under 10 minutes. There's nothing to install since Spinaker runs in your browser, and once you sync your ad account, your existing campaigns, ad sets, and ads are all visible and ready to work with.

What support and onboarding help do I get?

If you want extra help getting started, you can opt into an onboarding session with the Spinaker team. For ongoing support, Spinaker has an in-app chat staffed directly by the team building the product, not automated agents, so you have a direct line to the people behind it.

Spinaker & Campaign Manager

What can Spinaker do that Campaign Manager can't?

Spinaker is built specifically for power users managing LinkedIn Ads at scale: select multiple ad sets and edit their targeting, bids, budgets, or schedules in a single action, instead of one at a time. You also get reusable targeting presets, so you define an audience once and apply it anywhere, plus a stage-and-review step that shows you exactly what will change before anything goes live.

How does Spinaker work with my LinkedIn account?

Spinaker reads your existing campaigns, ad sets, and ads directly from LinkedIn when you sync your ad account, so there's nothing to migrate and no separate setup for your ad account structure. From there, Spinaker writes changes back to LinkedIn only when you explicitly publish them: nothing changes in your LinkedIn ad account unless a team member stages and publishes a change, and the review step before publish means nothing goes live by accident.

Can my team start using Spinaker without disrupting live campaigns?

Yes. Spinaker and Campaign Manager run in parallel, so there's no cutover required. Live campaigns are never touched unless someone on your team stages and publishes a change in Spinaker.

Is there a learning curve coming from Campaign Manager?

Spinaker uses the same campaign, ad set, and ad structure you already work with in Campaign Manager. What's different is the process: you stage changes, review a diff, then publish. An experienced marketer should feel right at home from the get-go.

Security & Data

How does Spinaker access my LinkedIn Ads data?

Spinaker accesses your LinkedIn Ads data through LinkedIn's official Marketing API, using scoped OAuth. Your LinkedIn credentials are never shared with or stored by Spinaker: access is limited to the specific ad accounts you authorize, and you can revoke it at any time from your LinkedIn account's application settings.

Is Spinaker SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliant?

No. Spinaker runs on Google Cloud Platform, whose infrastructure is independently SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified. Spinaker itself is built and operated to be audit-ready for SOC 2 Type 2 — scoped access, encryption in transit and at rest, envelope-encrypted credentials, and a full audit log of every change are all in place and maintained continuously. Our security overview details these controls and we're happy to work with your security team to answer any questions.

Is Spinaker GDPR compliant? Where is data stored?

Spinaker stores data on Google Cloud Platform in the US (us-east1 region). We process LinkedIn Ads data on your behalf in accordance with GDPR. Our full data handling practices are documented in our Privacy Policy. If EU data residency is a hard requirement for your organization, contact us to discuss.

Who on my team can access what?

Spinaker has three roles: Owner, Admin, and Member. All three have full operational access to your connected ad accounts, including creating, staging, and publishing changes. Roles govern user and billing management rather than restricting operational access.

Can I revoke access or delete my data?

Yes to both. You can disconnect your LinkedIn account from Spinaker at any time, which immediately revokes API access: LinkedIn will no longer allow Spinaker to read or write your ad account data. To request full deletion of your Spinaker data, email [email protected] and we'll action it within 30 days.

Do you sell or share my data?

No. Spinaker does not sell, rent, or share your LinkedIn Ads data or personal information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. The Privacy Policy and Subprocessors list have the full details on what we store and who we share it with for operational purposes.

Pricing & Billing

How much does Spinaker cost?

Spinaker is $149/month as a founding member (normally $299), with additional LinkedIn ad accounts at $24/month each (normally $49). Founding-member pricing is locked for your first 12 months. See the pricing page for full details.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new subscription includes a 14-day free trial with full access: connect real LinkedIn ad accounts, sync your campaigns, make edits, and publish changes. A payment method is required to start, but nothing is charged until the trial ends.

How is Spinaker priced?

Pricing has two parts: your subscription, and a fee for each connected LinkedIn ad account. Your subscription covers one ad account and unlimited team members, with no per-seat charge. Additional ad accounts are billed at the per-account rate. Pricing is not based on ad spend.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you can cancel at any time. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, then access stops. Your LinkedIn campaigns are unaffected: they continue running through LinkedIn directly. You can request a copy of your Spinaker data or full deletion by emailing [email protected].

Do you offer agency or multi-account plans?

Yes. Multi-account management is supported: connect as many LinkedIn ad accounts as you need. Each additional account is billed at the per-account rate on the pricing page.

Why pay for Spinaker when Campaign Manager is free?

Spinaker turns hours of manual work into minutes: bulk editing instead of one click at a time, reusable targeting presets instead of copy-pasting audiences into every campaign. At typical in-house salaries or agency rates, saving even a few hours a month covers the cost many times over. On top of this is the work you'll finally keep up with once it stops being a chore: refreshing copy across every ad at once, staying on top of bids and budgets, keeping audiences sharp as you gain new insights. That upkeep is where performance comes from, and it's the first thing that gets dropped when every change is one click at a time.
